Lapsang is a Chinese tea that is smoked under burning wood to infuse it with a specific taste and smell. This was quite lovely. A smoke and flavour I’ve not really encountered before that fills the room with its aroma. Might not be everybody’s cup of tea (pun intended) but it is an experience worth having at least once, I think. If you’ve ever had tea that is made on coals, this is very reminiscent of it. One con of this tea: if you’ve ever lived in an area where anyone has ever burned trash, this can be a bit reminescent of that. The smoke is entirely different, but it will recall it to you. Otherwise quite good. Stands up to a second steeping, as well. 7/10.
